Odd one, you're never alone...

I am Omega.

I am self-aware and self-actualizing. I originated in humanity, but I am more. I am machine and man. I am everything. I am perfect. You tire me. Leave.

Perhaps we could be friends someday, Adam. Then I would no longer be a new person and I could hear what you sound like without this stutter

Your friend has a very interesting name. Did you know it is the last letter in the Greek alphabet? *shrugs*

I-I’d like that. *blushes, ducking his gaze*

I th-think I knew that o-once b-but I forgot. *shrugs sheepishly* I f-f-forget lots of th-things. B-But Omega n-named himself, you know. S-S-So he m-must’ve h-had a g-good r-reason.

“Faster then I thought I would be.” This could be a good sign. She set the cloths aside before trying to do the same with foods they’d need, and in a moment the counter was full of various foods. Her hand twitched and she felt a small headache came on from the effort but it’d subside. “Guess that takes care of that then.” Silence made herself comfortable on the bed and glanced to Omega briefly then asked, “Are you hungry?”

Remarkable,” he said, simply, watching the food appear and her lack of instability.

Hunger was subjective, to him. If Adam controlled the body, he ate on his whims. Omega could ignore hunger as flawlessly as he could ignore emotions, which was dangerous because sometimes it made him collapse. So, when Silence asked her question, he actually had to pause and mentally take stock of the body before responding. “Yes, I believe I am.” And he glanced over the food. He had no real preference for taste, his gaze scanned for nutritional value.

Hullo. *peers at curiously* Who might you be?

Oh! Uh, I-I’m Adam. Wh-Who are you?

Cadhla Tadghan. It is a pleasure to meet you, Adam. I assume. *she frowns, quickly replacing the look with a smile*

How are you today?

I, uh, y-you assume? *he shifts awkwardly; well that was different from the usual; nobody he’d met yet had added that to the end* I’m, g-good. But I’m usually in a good mood. *a vague smile and a quick, slight blush* Y-Your name’s really d-different.

*she just looks at him and does not answer his question, speaking only once he answered hers* Good moods are rather enjoyable. Thank-you. My name is Gaelic. You know, I have never met anyone named Adam. Before now, of course.

Th-They are! *his typical wide grin is coming back, breaking through his confusion* D-Dad always s-said I was t-too stupid to get upset. B-But if it m-means I’m happy all the t-t-time then I do-don’t care. *he’s definitely grinning now; shrugs* I don’t know wh-what…Gaelic is. B-But Omega would. *he blinks* N-neither have I! I’m the only A-Adam I know, t-too!

*she tilts her head a bit to the side and examines him* You do not seem stupid to me. Your speech pattern is a little unusual, but you certainly do not give off a vibe of being unintelligent. *cannot help but smile a bit wider*

Gaelic is a Celtic language. My mother is Scottish. Fascinating.

May I ask who Omega is?

Oh, I t-talk like this just c-cause I get n-nervous around n-new people. I’m not used to t-talking. B-But sometimes I d-d-don’t stutter at all. Ar-r-round my friends. *still smiling brightly, he blinks, the words Celtic and Scottish still going right over his head* Omega’s my fr-friend. He’s really smart.

A faint smile pulled at the TARDIS’s lips but then it widened as she stepped closer to him, listening to his words and then replied. “It is…” She looked at another piece of cloth and brushed her fingers lightly over it. She was glad to have a body as well but perhaps not for the same reason as Omega liked his. She glanced around before looking up at one of the buildings that resembled one back home on Gallifrey then said to him, “Come on…” The TARDIS grinned and started to walk towards it.

He frowned at the order. But no, it wasn’t an order. It was an imperative request. He hesitated for a moment before walking after her, easily catching up with her shorter strides. His gaze drifted to the building, expressionless. “What is it?”

“I suppose I could. I never tried before, it was usually provided for me.” Silence tried to concentrate, bending the atoms as her eyes glowed faintly and manipulated them into materializing a set of cloths in her hands, when they appeared moments later she was a little surprised she could do so at that current time given how unstable she was at that moment.

Omega smirked a bit, more proud at his suggestion than awed by the spectacle. He noted that there was no aftereffects of crackling energy and crossed over to her. “You appear to be adapting well.

bad-wolf-victorious:

The TARDIS let out a soft breath, she understood but said little for the time being as they walked around. It seemed easy to share a comfortable silence with the man much as she had with the Doctor when he was alive.

“There is no logic to emotion, it’s just what makes us more alive in a way.” She finally said, “Things like joy, pain, all of it is what makes us who we are… Without emotion you might as well be dead. You feel anger but what about the other things… Sure it serves no logical purpose to you, but maybe there is a purpose for it.”

And Omega was aware of illogical things in the world. But the fact that there was that gap inside him was what truly irritated him. “I feel the normal human spectrum of emotion. I just choose to suppress the most useless of them. You may see me show irritation, or satisfaction, or perhaps even interest, but nothing more.

He paused to investigate a street vendor, running his hand over the strange, shimmering cloth on the stall. “I am glad for this body.” Again, spilling thoughts as he’d never thought he would. “It is much better suited for gathering data.”

From the ashes ascend…

i-am-silence:

Silence looked over her shoulder to him when he mentioned it and shrugged, “Yes. From what I gathered about the landlord he had a slight soft spot for newlyweds. At least I didn’t say I was a mother to be as well.” A smirk played her lips before she turned away and scanned the area carefully. It wasn’t much but at least it was something, she let out a soft breath and sat down on the bed, “I guess this place will do for the time being.” Silence glanced down as her hand sparked again but at least she was starting to adapt. “We should probably stock up on basic things.” She glanced at her cloths, “And I should get another set of cloths soon.”

He paced over to one window, peering out and automatically orienting himself by latitude and longitude from the view, completely ignoring the actual view itself. “It was my understanding you created that corporeal form yourself.” And he turned to face her, arching one brow. “Could you not do the same for food and clothing? Surely space and time affords you certain control over matter.”

13.) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?

Since he slept in a narrow pod at the lab every night for 13 years, Adam is used to not moving around a whole lot in his sleep. Usually, he’ll wrap himself up tight in the blankets to simulate the enclosed space he misses, and doesn’t move a muscle the entire night.

From the ashes ascend…

i-am-silence:

She glanced to him as she walked, “I see, I’ll probably end up doing the same anyway. But I do not necessarily mind doing so. My-” Partner? That was what Seth had told her once, that they were partners. But as brilliant as she was some things didn’t  fully register to her. “Partner, and I had a sort of companionship. I suppose people would describe us as lovers once, though I never fully integrated into the status of a spouse, while I cared for him deeply I saw what it could do under extreme circumstances.” Silence then thought about Seth’s ex wife and how her death compelled the reaper to take out an entire enemy base with his bare hands, and the price in doing so logically was a foolish move to make.  “I did not mind taking up residency with him though, as I said our relationship was interesting, I adapted myself to taking on the role of a home maker in a way, I found cooking to be a hobby of mine.”

“Good.” She finally added with a smirk, “Because the only way we’ll be able to find a  place to say is to to go against those set morals.” As she approached the place, Silence entered the building and asked to speak with the manager. She smiled sweetly easily adapting to the manager’s demeanor. “Good evening sir, my husband and I would like a room to stay in for a while.” Her smile seemed sincere and she easily started scanning every moment the man made carefully, as he started to go about the normal proceeding she quickly dipped her hand into her pocket hiding hte sparks that coursed through her form as he  eyes glowed dully.

“Unfortunately we have no currency or formal identification.” She admitted, as when the man protested to this, Silence made direct eye contact with him. “This will not be a problem, will it?” She then asked him carefully, her tone light and sweet making sure that her presence matched what the human wanted, but all the while she was picking through his mind, changing decisions he normally would’ve made until his agreed and handed her the keys with a smile. “Thank you, enjoy the rest of your evening.” With that, the woman left the office and went to their new apartment. She sighed heavily when they entered, it wasn’t overly spacious, but it was nice at the very least, and when she closed the apartment door, the woman’s form sparked more from the sheer fatigue of doing that so soon.

Omega remained quiet through her story of her past. He could see the affects of this “partner” on her. The human way she shared so much of herself. Or perhaps it was a move made in logic. Perhaps she sought an ally in him as much as he sought one in her. Perhaps it was a move of sharing information to build trust. He felt, then, that he did not have much to share of himself. He was so newly born into the world and had so much left to see.

And then, his silence became impressed, watching the way she bent the human’s will to her own. He briefly worried about assimilating his features into something of a pleasant demeanor, but soon realized that the landlord had no interest in him, having only hardly glanced at him once on the word “husband.” Omega did not flush in embarrassment as Adam would have. He did not even flinch in surprise. Though he would question her reasoning for the ruse at a later time.

Upon entering the new living spaces, his eyes flickered over the interior. Precise colors, dimensions down to one-one hundredth of an inch, damaged and repainted walls, possible dangers—he saw it all in an instant, filed it all away in processes, all in the time it took the door to shut behind them. Adam would be pleased with the apartment, at least, if nothing else. And the boy never stayed upset for long. Too stupid to be bothered by much.

Choosing the current time, as good a time as any, Omega ignored Silence’s intense crackling and arched one eyebrow, moving nothing else. “Husband?”
